Avoid. Deny. Defend.

To further support campus awareness and preparedness, we鈥檙e sharing the "Avoid. Deny. Defend." video, an important training tool that outlines strategies for responding to an active attacker situation. Developed by the Texas State Office of Risk Management, this video is based on the FBI鈥檚 recommended response model:

• Avoid the attacker whenever possible
  

• Deny access to your location
  

• Defend yourself as a last resort

By watching this video, NSCC students, employees, and visitors can better understand how to respond quickly and effectively in a crisis. Being informed and prepared is key to reducing the risk of injury or loss of life in emergency situations.
