Program Overview
The LPN to RN Advanced Placement Option is a full-time day program designed for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) aiming to advance their careers by becoming Registered Nurses (RNs). This program allows students who have graduated from a U.S. Board of Registration in Nursing-approved Practical Nursing School to complete NSCC’s Registered Nurse Program in just one academic year. Graduates of this program are eligible to sit for the NCLEX-RN examination and apply for licensure as a Registered Nurse. Graduates of the LPN to RN Advanced Placement Option work in hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, public health organizations, schools, home healthcare, and rehabilitation centers in roles such as:
